ST HALLETT | BLOCKHEAD

When it came to this branded spot to promote St Hallett’s Blockhead Shiraz, the agency had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve, but were unsure how to execute it technically and on budget. One of the challenges they faced was that the client had already decided upon a pre-existing end frame that was constructed from 2D elements. How could we reconstruct photoshopped 2D elements in a 3D space? By using a combination of carefully implemented green screen, real props and VFX we were able to seamlessly incorporate this imagery into the final spot. Shot on location at St Hallett’s vineyard in South Australia’s Barossa Valley wine region.

How we made it.

  • Storyboards are turned into a rough animatic to show client how VFX will work.

  • CINEMACHE guide their small crew of four through the production process.

  • All lighting, set dressing and prop decisions are made by the team in-house.

  • The final assets are post-produced, from edit to VFX, in the CINEMACHE studio.
